Web Hosting

The server space that stores a website's files so it can be reached online.

How it works

Web hosting supplies the infrastructure that receives website requests and serves responses. Static files, application code and database access can have different requirements. Capacity, caching, software maintenance and recovery procedures matter as much as advertised storage.

A realistic example

A glossary page may be served as prebuilt HTML while a contact form runs application code. A cache can accelerate the public page but must not serve one visitor’s private response to another. Assess the actual page and form paths separately.

What to check

Check response time, errors, cache headers, supported runtime versions and backup restoration. Verify the domain points to the intended host. Test the public site after deployment rather than relying only on a successful file upload.

Limits and next steps

A faster plan cannot repair every slow frontend or incorrect cache rule. Diagnose server delay separately from download and browser work. Keep recovery access and verified backups before replacing application files or changing hosting settings.
